About the Author
“And when someone opens your heart, may they only find Christ.”
This guiding mantra lives within Elene, known to many as Poetically Elene — an Orthodox Christian woman, spiritual writer, and Human Development scientist who thrives on bringing people together for the greater good. A first-generation Greek and Italian American, Elene resides on the East Coast with her beloved Morkie, Lela — affectionately called her “little wolf.” She began writing at the age of 12, transforming early song lyrics into heartfelt poetry filled with storytelling, reflection, and purpose. Alongside her writing, Elene is also a public speaker who has led Christian retreats, devotional focus groups, and spoken at youth and young adult panels within her communities. When she’s not writing or mentoring, she cherishes her “Elene Time” — spending moments in photography, floral design, language practice with her grandmothers, yoga, and travel, often seeking peace by the Mediterranean or exploring the sacred beauty of historical places. Her life’s work and her poetry both reflect a simple truth: each moment with Christ is a story unfolding — for His purpose, and for our becoming.

Winter Oil Painting Workshop
Join us on November 16th from 6:30-8:00pm for this cozy seasonal class where instructor Amy Day of Cedar Lane Art Co will instruct students will learn how to paint a serene winter landscape using oil paints. Starting with the basics of composition and underpainting, you’ll discover how to build up layers of color to capture the crisp atmosphere of a snowy scene. We’ll explore techniques for creating depth, from soft skies and distant trees to the rich textures of snow. Special attention will be given to light—how it reflects off snow and creates a magical glow in a winter setting.
By the end of the class, you’ll have a finished winter oil painting that beautifully captures the quiet charm of the season perfectly dried in time for the holiday season.
This workshop includes instruction on creating your perfect winter landscape, a frame, water and a lite bite provided by Lee Cee Pie.
