Fall Equinox Journal Making Workshop

  • Plant Roots & The Bookery 19 Brookline Boulevard Havertown, PA, 19083 United States (map)

With Francine Bonjour-Carter, Somatic Practitioner & Mixed Media Artist

"Autumn carries more gold in its pocket than all the other seasons." — Jim Bishop

As the seasons begin to shift, we invite you to a creative and restorative evening where you will create the cover of a journal that will accompany you throughout the fall. We will begin with a gentle meditative practice to help you settle into the present moment, connect with your creativity, and reflect on the transition into a new season. Then, you'll gather images, colors, words, thread, and textured papers to craft your journal cover using simple mixed-media techniques such as mark-making, hand sewing, and collage. All instructions will be provided step by step, and no prior experience is required.

What’s Included:

  • A 60-page, A5 journal (choose lined or blank)

  • All craft supplies needed, including antique book pages, washi tape, stickers, and magazines

  • Step-by-step instruction and demonstration

  • A warm, intentional, and supportive atmosphere

  • Meaningful prompts to inspire reflection, intention, and creativity throughout the fall season

  • A delicious dessert

Cancellations must be made a week in advance for a refund. No refunds will be given if cancellations are less than a week’s notice.
